Job Openings: Teller Supervisor

Location of Position:Portage, Winfield
Salary:$20.00 per hour
Days:Monday - Saturday

Duties:

  • Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems.  Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication tool.

  • Work closely with the Director of Training to ensure Team is trained and cross-trained in all phases of their job, the delivery of quality service to members, and accuracy in transactions.

  • Meets or exceeds established referral and sales goals by participating in the monthly incentive program. Responsible for discovering problems, needs, and opportunities by listening for clues in conversations, asking open-ended questions, completing fact-finding follow-ups, researching members’ accounts, and assisting with product promotions.

  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained Team.

  • Evaluate the job performance of the teller Team to ensure quality member service and accurate transactions.

  • Conduct monthly coaching sessions to ensure Team members are achieving success in all stated expectations in support of the credit union’s sales and service culture.

  • Answer telephone inquiries and process financial transactions in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Hold monthly Team meetings to discuss goal status, areas of success, product/service updates and to present general information.  Encourage the exchange of ideas.

  • Approve member exceptions and authorize service fee refunds to members when deemed necessary.

  • Analyze the workflow on an on-going basis to determine Team requirements. 

  • Participate in the hiring and termination of MSRs.

  • Open new accounts and process/disburse loan applications in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct duties of credit union IRA administrator.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year supervisor and/or management experience in a financial industry field.

  • Available to work Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 6:15 pm and Saturday 8 am to 12:15 pm.

  • Minimum 40 hours per week.

  • Punctuality and desire to meet set goals is also required.
