Upgrades to Online Services, Week of May 26, 2024
REGIONAL is always working to provide the best possible service to our members, and we work with other companies who do the same. A few upgrades and improvements to our online services are in the works, but this will mean a few brief service interruptions over the next week. Here is what to expect, and when.
Sunday, May 26th at 4:00 a.m. CST: Debit Cards
For around one hour, REGIONAL Debit Cards will be operating with offline limits ($100 for ATM withdrawals, $300 for purchases). Our core processor is moving to a new data center, which will fix recent issues with intermittent downtime affecting card transactions and other services. They have scheduled this change very early in the morning so as few members as possible will be affected, but if you’re planning any large purchases during that time, be sure to withdraw your cash ahead of time.
Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 a.m. CST: Mobile Banking
Mobile Banking will be unavailable for about 15 minutes. Our processor is installing software to update how check images are displayed in the app.
Before Friday, May 31st: Online Banking
Online Banking (accessed on your desktop or laptop computer) will experience a brief downtime as our vendor installs software to fix how check images are displayed in Online Banking. We will update you with more information as we receive it.
Multifactor Authentication Coming to Online Banking
New Feature Goes Live Monday, June 17, 2024
Our new Multi-Factor Authentication security feature for Online Banking will go live the evening of Monday, June 17th to help keep your REGIONAL account information safe. This update will not cause any service interruptions.
The first time you login from a desktop or laptop computer, or from a mobile web browser after the update, you will first see a "Security Features" page. Use the sliders under the "Disable/Enable Two-Factor" to select how you'd like to receive MFA verification codes: by email, text ("SMS") or voice call.
Whenever you login from a new device, browser or location, you will be sent a code (or receive an automated call) to verify that you are logging in, not an unauthorized user.
Note: This new feature applies only to Online Banking that you access through a desktop or laptop computer, or mobile web browser. The REGIONAL Mobile app is not included in the update.
