It's never too early to start

REGIONAL believes that financial education plays a vital role in future success. The best time to learn financial responsibility is while still young, before the decisions and responsibilities of adulthood start. That’s why we offer a full line of youth-oriented financial products and programs.

Head Start Youth Certificate of Deposit

The Head Start Youth CD is available to young members through high school graduation, with a low $25 minimum to open, a short six-month term, a higher interest rate than our six-month certificate, and the ability to deposit to the certificate in $25 increments at any time. Since Head Start is an educational certificate, there are no withdrawals before the CD matures.

With the Head Start Youth CD, REGIONAL helps introduce young people to concepts of long-term saving, getting into the habit of saving regularly, and balancing short and long-term goals with regards to availability of funds versus higher returns on their money.

  • $25 minimum to open
  • 6-month term
  • Deposit to CD in $25 increments at any time
  • $1,000 maximum total deposit
  • Available to members through high school graduation

Student Credit Union branches are staffed by student-members from each school; student team members gain experience with cash handling, professionalism and confidentiality. Student members age 14 and older may open a Free Checking account with a Visa™ Debit Card, and direct deposit is available for those whose employers offer this benefit.

Next Generation Scholarship
